We visited this restaurant on Feb 26, 2012. The review is written by a mix of “pure veg” and non-veg eating authors. We visited the place for dinner on a Saturday night. There was no buffet for dinner. Website:http://himaroma.com/
A Nepali restaurant which is located at one corner in a big block. Not the perfect location for restaurant (). The ambience is pretty good. Lot of paintings and artifacts on the walls. There is also live music played by a band named “Nisarga” at night who are good at what they do. Table and chairs are little congested and one of us had trouble sitting due to his big built ().
Few interesting comments They had mango lassi, but no sweet lassi . Garlic naan seemed to have been innovated at that instant as the waiter was not aware of having Garlic naan in kitchen. It was neither mentioned in the menu. Make sure to specify your food to be spicy, as spicy food for the cook is equal to our normal food. You food may become bland or sweet if not instructed.
Food tried ()
1. Mango Lassi: One of the best mango lassi I have had in this area. Seemed, to have been made with real mango and not using flavors.
2. Veg Momo: Very good veg momo. Was nice and medium spicy. Interestingly, this item has not been seen by me in this area at any other restaurant. The sauce that is given with veg momo is very good and goes well with it.
3. Paneer Tikka Masala: Very very sweet and very very red (colors..?). We just could not eat this. I tried to put pepper on top of it to make it taste something different, but in vain.
4. Garlic Naan: Sprinkled garlic on top of the naan. Decent and tasted good.
5. Veg Fried Rice: Very nice. I remembered poha as soon as it was served. But, when I tasted it, it was delicious.
6. Non-Veg thali with chicken: Thali had 3 curries. 2 Veg and 1 chicken. This is served with either naan or rice. The curries tasted good. My friend was not happy with the pickle as it did not taste anything like pickle, very bland.
Cost Approx $45 for 3 people
