I have generally ordered food for carry out and have had it in the restaurant once. I am a vegetarian. There is no buffet available. Website: http://www.papadz.com/
An Indian restaurant managed by South Indians in Flower Mound. The restaurant is located at a good place(). The ambience is very bad with very few tables to sit and eat(). Hence, generally I go for carryout only.
Interesting Facts: I have had trouble only once (of nearly 10 times I have had food here) in this restaurant when the person who took the order (who did not know English), who also cooks prepared all the 3 dishes different than I ordered.
Food Tried():
1. Veg Pulav: Very good quality and quantity. Nice and spicy with perfect amount of vegetables I like in Pulav. I generally don’t like it when the rice item has more vegetables than rice itself.
2. Mysore Masala Dosa: Awesome! Love it. Spicy. Served with Sambhar and 2 kinds of chutneys. Pretty filling. Do not try if you do not want it spicy.
3. Dahi Vada: Like it a lot. Vada is soaked in think curd. The only thing missing is a little sweetness that I like in Dahi Vada, so, I add sweet chutney made of date’s by myself when I eat.
4. Idli vada sambhar: Good. I like the vada more than the idli’s here. Nice and crisp. The sambhar is also well made. Sometimes, its not the Adigas Sambhar you find in Bangalore(India) but it anyways goes well with the idlis and vadas.
5. Bhel puri, Dahi Papdi Chat: It was very good until they raised the price. Now, I don’t order it as I don’t feel the food worth the price ($3.49).
6. Paneer Tikka Masala: The gravy is not thick but tastes good. I decided to order only South Indian food generally after trying this.
7. Veg Biryani: Pretty ok. Nothing great about it. The quantity is very good.
8. Veg Samosa: Not the best samosa in town. And more expensive than normal ($1.50). I like the Royal Sweets (Irving) Samosa’s more.
Cost: $12 per head
